Signs on the doors will provide instructions for entry in these cases. There is free parking in the lot and on the street. This is a second floor office with no elevator, so is not suitable for those who cannot climb stairs. No direct billing.

ABOUT OSTEOPATHY:

Osteopathy is a manual therapy that focuses on the use of manipulative techniques to restore normal function to affected areas of the body. Depending on the case, the goal may be to calm down a flare-up, correct long-standing imbalances, improve joint function, regular maintenance of chronic injuries, preventive care, or general relaxation. An osteopath is trained to assess and treat all areas of the body, and all tissues of the body (fascia, muscle, ligament and bone).

Osteopathy is usually considered a “light” form of manual therapy, although the appropriate intensity of treatment is case-dependent, but is never aggressive. The most common issues addressed include chronic or acute back pain, neck pain, shoulder/elbow/wrist/hand, hip/knee/ankle/foot, headache, TMJ, numbness and tingling, arthritis, sciatica and spinal disc pain. Osteopathy is suitable for all age groups, and can in some cases help with health conditions outside the musculoskeletal system. The number of sessions required to see results is case-dependent. Osteopathy is covered by many extended health care plans.

Classical osteopathy is not intended to be used in conjunction with other manual therapies, except in controlled cases, as this may constitute a safety risk due to overtreatment. Following treatment, you may experience soreness and fatigue, and strenuous physical activity is not advised. Please wear non-restrictive clothing to your appointment, such as a T-shirt and sweat-pants. For more information, please don’t hesitate to call or email.
